Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!  I'm Pastor Monte Mitchell, the proud pastor and humble servant of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in the beautiful city of Fresno, CA, a city I love and grew up in.  I am blessed and honored to be called by God to pastor such a historical church as Mount Pleasant.

We, the family at Mount Pleasant give God praise for what he has done, for what he is doing and for what he's going to do through the people at Mount Pleasant -- it's called praise in advance.  Our theme is "Let's trust the process'.  

We are excited about what the Lord desires to do.  I can't tell it all because I don't know what he's up too.  We just watch and join him when he shows up and he's always showing up at Mount Pleasant.  So, come and join us anytime and see our Great God do his thing through the people.


I love the scripture Genesis 28:16-17 that says: (And Jacob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in the place.  And I knew it not, and he was afraid, and said, how dreadful is this place this is none other but the house of God and this is the gate of heaven) along with 1 John 4:4 that says "You are of God, little children, and have overcome the world, because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".
